!! It's Back to School Time !!
Is your child anxious about going back to (or starting) school?
For most children, that uneasy anticipation passes quickly
and they settle in to their new surroundings without too much fanfare.
But for some, particularly those with special needs, it can be a scary place!
Suggest this - or any other worries or concerns - to your Family Literacy instructor
as a topic for a parenting class.
You live in Somerset County, PA and don't have a Family Literacy instructor?
Call 814-566-9187 to find out how to get one, or for general information on Family Education programs and services available FREE of charge.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Now here's a kid with great self-esteem!
This toddler, from the island of Sumatra, is hooked on nicotine after being
introduced to cigarettes by his father at 18 months of age.
Now at age 2, he smokes 40 cigarettes a day. His father insists he is healthy.
If he doesn't get them, he throws tantrums, bangs his head on the floor, and even gets sick.
He is currently in "rehab" after being taken into custody by the Indonesian Committee of Child Protection and Supervision.
